Spire Eye Centre takes great pride in their reputation and the quality of their eye care. Understanding how precious your vision is, Spire continuously strives to maintain high standards of diagnosis and treatment, to give patients the best possible outcome.

Spire Eye Centre gives its patients the care and expertise they expect from a private hospital, but also peace of mind that they are in safe hands, receiving treatment from consultant ophthalmic surgeons who are experts in their field.

These designated consultant ophthalmic surgeons are with the patient every step of the way, from the initial consultation right through to postoperative care.

After one of our business cards was circulated during a marketing meeting, the Eye Centre team at Spire Hospital contacted us with a view to upgrade their dated website, both in terms of design and functionality.

They needed a site that could be easily navigated by their patients, some of whom would be elderly, no doubt have vision impairments and would be relatively new to browsing the web. The site would need to have CMS capability as the centre often runs open evenings which would be advertised online.

The new website would also be a great way to request consultations, healthcare quotes and brochures on the treatments available.

We stayed in frequent contact with the Eye Centre managers during the design and build process as they had very specific ideas. After submitting three different designs for them to choose from, we eventually combined two proofs to create a hybrid layout to work from.

The new site is now regularly updated by the Spire staff via their CMS, features striking HDR photography presented in revolving banners throughout the site, large button icons to make certain calls-to-action stand out and completable forms whereby patients can request any further details they require, all topped off with a small piece of Java code which allows visitors with partial eyesight to increase the text size to make the information easier to read.
