THE CLIENT

The CornerStone Kitchen brings British, gastro food, served right on the kerbsides of Birmingham. Carefully considered, seasonal dishes that celebrate Great Britain’s wonderful produce can be purchased daily and is boxed up, making it easy to take away… ideal for providing quick, delicious meals to the busy city lifestyle.

THE BRIEF

We were recommended to the guys from The CornerStone Kitchen who got in touch to share their business ideas and contract us to create their full brand identity, starting with a company logo and working up to business cards, a branded business proposal and company website.

The theme needed to be rustic and culinary in nature, with classic colours and creative photography to compliment the appeal of their signature dishes.

THE RESULT

We managed to nail the logo first time, going with the obvious corner motif and using a corroded-style font in beiges and browns to give the company that country, farm-style feel. The upright cutlery icons were used to mimic the eating utensils that stand in pots with most street-side food vendors, coloured in a bold burgundy to set them off against the surrounding text.

Once this style had been established, the other branding came together quickly – with square business cards as a way to catch a client’s attention, a glossy four-page business proposal with airstream trailer mock-ups to show local councils the company’s potential and a clean, simple website with focus again on imagery.
